Artists' residencies in the Frankfurt/RhineMain region
Coming and going, immigration and emigration - always a present topic in the RhineMain region and in the metropolis Frankfurt am Main.
The art scene is not exempt from this.
Many artists came and went.
The exhibition uses selected artistic personalities, for example Gustave Courbet and Bernhard Hoetger, August Babberger and Max Beckmann, Karl Otto Goetz and Per Kirkeby, to demonstrate the artists' motives, whether political or artistic, for settling in the region, but also the traces they left behind in Frankfurt/RhineMain.
