Fayzen drew attention to himself several times over... The Hamburg native had first started out as a rapper, building beats and, through unwavering dedication, selling 20.000 copies of his first mixtape sold on the street. 2013 finally saw the release of his debut album, on which he interwove poetry and sonic melancholy in a way that rappers don't really do. This year he released his second album, "Gern Allein", on which he continues on the songwriter's path, reflecting on a lost relationship, his childhood and what may come next. It's a sensationally good album, always finding worldly wise aphorisms and truly comforting in its contemplative nature. "You have to let go full force," he said most recently in an interview with Backspin - and he's spot on with that, too. At the Schlachthof, he was last seen together with Elif.
