For several years now, the five musicians from the Bergsträß area have been playing together and even older is the friendship that connects at least three of the five.
Even as childhood friends André Clemens and Armin Steigler had been travelling together in Ireland, always carrying their guitars and songbooks in their luggage, and so the desire to make Irish folk music together in a band at some point was born early on: Polyphonic singing, quiet and melodic ballads, well-known rousing drinking songs and songs of contemporary Irish songwriters, all arranged in their own individual style.
Founded in 2002, as a quintet with Armin Steigler, Frank Schork, Marco Schilling and André Clemens was joined 2 years later by Helmut Lerchl with dulcimer and percussion. Since then the band from the Bergsträßer area plays in this composition.
