The Frankfurt Dippemess, which takes place in spring and autumn on the fairground on Ratsweg in front of the ice rink, is the largest folk festival in the Rhine-Main region with around 2 million visitors (spring and autumn combined).
Although the Volksfest still offers the eponymous "Dippe" (but only at two stands), the main attraction of the Volksfest is its rides and catering stands.
