With his last program "Eine Dame werd' ich nie" Bäppi La Belle went new ways. For the first time, the music for the numerous vocal interludes in the show did not come from the tape, but were played live by the young pianist Gregori Dörr, whom Bäppi also involved in the action time and again. Even though the whole thing was still a typical Bäppi show at its core, the live music and the interaction with Dörr created a new, refreshing atmosphere that was very well received by the audience. A good reason, then, to continue the successful concept in the new show. Whoever knows Bäppi knows that his shows are not static constructs. Over the course of their seasons, the programs are constantly changing, partly due to spontaneous interactions with the audience, but also due to current events that Bäppi can't leave uncommented. And even if it becomes clear that something is not going down as well with the audience as the rest of the show, they work on it. Also "I stemm die Fleischworscht mit aner Hand" will surely look a bit different in a few weeks than on the premiere night. There however the once again very unterhaltsame and amusing show was coined by two things, which occupy Bäppi straight very much: The Fassenacht and politics. After all, the vice-president of the GFF - the Gemeinschaft Frankfurter Fassenacht e.V. - is running for the SPD in the local elections on 6 March. Although the show was not intended to be an election event, there were of course always little allusions to Bäppi's involvement in politics and the upcoming election, but the popular Frankfurt entertainer packaged them in his own unique way, so that it would never seem intrusive or even annoying. And the best thing is: his not always politically correct way Bäppi has not lost even as a political aspirant. And that's exactly why the new show works really well again. The program begins with two video interludes, where especially the amusing silent movie "Die Fleischworscht der Königin" provides the first hearty laughs. At the opening Bäppi doesn't come on stage as a woman as usual, but immediately reassures his worried fans that this will of course change. And indeed, the queen of Frankfurt's north end later dresses up in a dirndl newly tailored especially for the show and, after the break, in a sequined dream in red. In these costumes Bäppi sings accompanied by Gregori Dörr songs of Dalida ("Er war gerade 18 Jahr`"), Hildegard Knef ("Von nun an ging`s bergab"), Cissy Kraner ("Der Novak"), Reinhard Mey ("Die heiße Schlacht am kalten Buffet") and of course Ernst Neger ("I stemm die Fleischworscht mit aner Hand"). In addition, there is again a lot of typical Frankfurt babble about Christmas at Bäpplers, about sex Ü40, puns, vegans and of course about Fleischworscht! A real highlight was the revival of a number from an older show, in which a spectator must undergo a very special English test. Not only is the test itself extremely funny. In the spontaneous interaction with the audience Bäppi is simply unbeatable. All of this ensures that Bäppi fans and all those who want to be will once again get their money's worth in the new show. In addition, the program deals with two existential questions of mankind: Why are schnitzels breaded - and what the hell is leftover chocolate? The answers to these questions are now available at the Theatrallalla! (Text: Sebastian Betzold)
