Udo Jürgens - as a singer, pianist and entertainer he was one of the few superstars who really deserved this title. On 21.12.2014, during his tour "Mitten im Leben", after more than 100 million records sold and probably more than 1,000 compositions, the great artist and entertainer fell silent forever. But his work remains imperishable.
Already in the spring of 2003, the musicians Hubby Scherhag, Achim Brochhausen and Micky Koll came up with the idea to pay homage to Udo Jürgens and his incomparable musical work. In months of preparation marked by great respect, his compositions were (and still are) conscientiously sifted through, concert videos analysed and the selected songs written out and arranged in real handwork. With the support of some of Germany's best professional musicians, they finally brought the project, which was extremely demanding in all respects, to the stage under the name SahneMixx.
