The relationship of married men to their mothers-in-law is a popular topic for comedic material. The play, which can be seen at the comedy until June 26, is also about mothers-in-law, but also about the everyday chaos of relationships. It is a turbulent comedy full of confusion, carried along by witty dialogues and an ensemble that enjoys playing. And that's what the play is about:
Bernhard is married, loves his wife Henrike, is content and actually wants nothing to change. Henrike is married, loves her husband too, is not dissatisfied, but she wants something to change once again.
Claudine wants to get married, loves Uwe and longs for contentment and for that to never change. Uwe doesn't quite know if he wants to get married, he's mostly content with himself and doesn't want that to change.
Henrike's mother was married, is always dissatisfied and wants things to change for real.
Henrike and Claudine are friends. But when Claudine registers for a visit with Henrike to introduce her future husband Uwe, Bernhard realizes that he once had something with Claudine.
And suddenly a turbulent chaos begins exactly to Henrike's mother's taste and she blithely continues to turn on this merry-go-round of emotions until.
