The current concert series of the Romanfabrik goes in search of the directness of expression in the history of music. In doing so, it takes a closer look at the interaction between music and language. The chamber music of Leoš Janáček forms the common thread here. The composer's gestures and ductus are inspired by Czech linguistic melody.

Program:
Leoš Janáček (1854-1928): Sonata (1913-1921) for violin and piano
Leoš Janáček Pohádka (Fairy Tale) for violoncello and piano (1910; 1923)
Arnold Schoenberg (1874-1951): Three times seven poems from Albert Giraud's "Pierrot lunaire" op. 21 (1912).

Occupation:
Maren Schwier (voice), Dirk Peppel (flute/piccolo), Ulrich Mehlhart (clarinet/bass clarinet), Johannes Blumenröther (violin/viola), Susanne Müller-Hornbach (violoncello), Martin Schmalz (piano), Gerhard Müller-Hornbach (direction and moderation).
