An era is coming to an end: "No to the money!" is the penultimate play to be performed at the Fritz Rémond Theater. With the follow-up play "Things I know for sure" (from April 13), the theater says goodbye to the Frankfurt cultural scene. Theater director Claus Helmer has decided to take this difficult step for health reasons. In the future, the city will continue the cultural operation in the Zoogesellschaftshaus, where a children's and youth theater will soon be built.
So now you have only a few more weeks to be entertained at the Fritz Rémond Theater at the Zoo. The comedy by Flavia Coste will be performed until April 9. And that's what it's about in "No to money!":
Richard has been playing the lottery for years. One evening he asks his wife Claire, his mother Rose and his best friend Etienne to a dinner together - because Richard has won the lottery: 162 million euros!
But the real surprise is that he doesn't want to collect the lottery winnings. He is so satisfied with his life that he doesn't want to change anything about it. Of course, everyone knows that money alone doesn't make you happy and that too much of it often spoils your character, but do you have to go so far as to voluntarily give it up? After all, it can also be very nice to be rich. So where is the lottery ticket? After all, it doesn't matter who presents it. Richard wants to destroy him and soon all means is right to get to the "lucky" ticket.
A comedy about money, greed and luck.
Performances until 9. April 2023 (Tue - Sat at 8 pm, Sun 6 pm, Mondays play-free)
