Pepe Dayaw is a cooking nomad. He gathers people together and cooks with them or for them with whatever is forgotten in refrigerators and kitchen cabinets but is still to be enjoyed. On the opening night of Welcome to Caveland, he installs a mobile kitchen on the ground floor of the Mousonturm, where he invites people to his cooking performance Pepe Dayaw's Spice Routes and cooks with leftovers brought to him during the day. Whether in their raw state or already cooked, these leftovers are also the ticket to the evening event, in which the dancer and culinary artist brings together guests and ingredients alike to choreograph a dinner together.
The following day, food leftovers brought in are transformed into something extraordinary in a workshop. Recipes for Cooking without Recipes is an invitation to anyone who wants to experiment with food and its preparation and break new ground in thought.
All are welcome to bring their food scraps for Pepe Dayaw's Spice Routes at the Mousonturm on Saturday, 8/4 from 12-6pm.
