The popular open air short film festival "shorts at moonlight" has also become a victim of the Corona crisis. In 2020 it will not be able to take place as usual on the beautiful Schlosssterasse in Frankfurt Höchst. But there is now good news for all short film fans: "Shorts at Moonlight" will take place this summer despite Corona! Just - like so many things this year - a bit different. Because unusual circumstances require new approaches. That's why the festival's organizing team has decided that this year, for the first time, there will be an online festival, consisting of films that have already been shown in previous years and that have been particularly well received by the audience.
Short film enjoyment is now available either open air in your garden, on the balcony or on the terrace - or completely weather-independent in the living room or comfortably in bed.
The Shorts at Moonlight team has put together 15 varied daily programs for you, each with over 1 hour of playing time. Each day program consists of 5 films, plus a moderation and a few short interviews with the filmmakers in the usual way. So despite Corona, there is a real festival feeling - maybe not quite as usual, but still better than a summer completely without short films.
The festival starts on July 15, as originally planned. On the usual festival days - Wednesday through Sunday - a new program will be made available online each day in addition, so that on the last day of the festival, August 2, all 15 programs will be ready online. They will then be available until August 31.

A daily program costs 5 euros, which can be viewed for 12 hours after activation.
Festival pass
