Tour 2016 - It was a coup when Slime announced their first album after 18 years of radio silence a few years ago. "To submit is to lie" it was called - an answer to a world out of bounds, but at the same time also a historical look at a world that has always been out of bounds.
For the lyrics an old idea was taken up, whose realization seemed more current and urgent than ever, namely to set texts by Erich Mühsam to music. A poet and anarchist whose writing was not only full of the urge for change, but of a man who lived anarchy, as one of the central figures of the Munich Räterepublik, as in many other places. In 1934 he was killed by the Nazis. What remains is a great work of poetry, which Slime have now taken on.
Live, the Hamburg band remain the explosive band they have always been. With a hit density that is unparalleled in German punk.
