And lo and behold - even Jelinek herself commented on her young colleague as follows: "That such a thing still exists, I don't believe's! A really new tone in literature: here it is." Hardly any medium didn't have Sargnagel in its pages - from FAZ to the musician's bible Rolling Stone. What struck reviewers? Radicalism, thoughtfulness, wit, aggressiveness and melancholy. Her books have titles like In the Future We're All Dead or Status Messages. A collection of aphorisms about "Alnatura Germany", which the Austrian dreads. "I'm not going against any one lifestyle. It's just as much against eco-hipsters as it is against art students, the working class and myself," she stressed in an interview with www.zeit.de. "I don't mean any of this in a bad way anyway, more as loving bashing, except towards the right wing and other assholes."
