In the list of the 20 most successful films worldwide, Harry Potter productions occupy no less than six(!) places. The soundtracks by John Williams, Patrick Doyle, Nicolas Hooper and Alexander Desplat became correspondingly popular.
From John Williams, who composed the music for the first three films, also comes the famous "Hedwig's Theme", now considered the main melody of the Harry Potter adaptations.
Since 2016, the successful books and films have been accompanied by the Harry Potter - Theatrical
"Harry Potter and the Enchanted Child", which was showered with countless awards in New York and London and became by far the most successful play worldwide. Beautiful new music has been composed to accompany it by Imogen Heap, which is already being presented in this concert as a grand final block!
One of the musical highlights is " Double Trouble" from "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban". This main theme by John Williams is performed by a choir upon arrival at Hogwarts.
Another main motif of this film block is " Aunt Marge's Waltz", composed for the visit of Harry's Aunt Magda, who is blown up by Harry like a balloon and literally blows up. The composition by John Wiliams is suitably ironic and witty.
