A great Frankfurt man of letters, grand master of scurrility, who has irrevocably conquered his place in Frankfurt even after his death at the end of December 2018, is once again honored by the Ensemble 9 November with a tribute. Wilhelm Genazino recorded his mischievous everyday experiences and metaphysical fantasies, peppered with animal transformations as an author, on his walks through the city. He has been honoured with numerous prizes: 1998 Grand Prize for Literature of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts, 2003 Fontane Prize and Hans Fallada Prize, 2004 Georg Büchner Prize. Wilhelm Genazino has attended performances of the E9N on several occasions. In March 2006 Helen Körte freely dramatized his radio play "The Homelessness of Fish" for the theatre. The city ballad was successfully performed 11 times at our theatre and the author himself congratulated on the realization of his text. Later he travelled with the ensemble to Krakow as part of the Frankfurt-Krakow cultural exchange.
