A play about a play - that's what the audience of the play "The Theatermaker" by Austrian writer Thomas Bernhard gets. And that's what it's all about: the state actor Bruscon has landed where he never really wanted to be: he inspects the dance hall of the "Schwarzer Hirsch" inn in Utzbach, where his play "The Wheel of History" is to be shown. But that's not all. He, who has decided to tour the provinces instead of shining at big houses, is on stage with his untalented children and his permanently coughing wife. But these are only the least of the problems of the "Theater Maker," one of Bernhard's best-known characters.
Please note that there is a limited allotment of tickets and that special rules apply to a visit to the theater.
