Sadek Massarweh came from Montréal to Hamburg in his early 20s to study - and stayed. Musically, he saw himself in good hands there and quickly made common cause with Laurens Bauer (Ilgen-Nur/EÖE), Pamier Hilal (stroem) and Jakob Hersch (Der Ringer), among others. Soon they formed a colourful collective of young musicians of diverse styles, who gave each other support, inventiveness and groove. The result is a feast of Hip Hop, R'n'B, Indie, Folk, Pop, Electro and Trap - a little bit of everything, but arranged in a highly professional way and thus coherent again. Sometimes smooth, sometimes brute, deeply melancholic and in the next moment mighty rough: The Monako sound is hardly tangible and yet so ingenious! Today, this is ensured (besides Sadek Massarweh and Jakob Hersch) not least by Canadian sound tinkerer Naomie De Lorimier as well as Valentin Hebel and Jan Hendrick Schnoor.
