As already announced, the "Green Sauce Festival has now been running since Saturday at Frankfurt's Roßmarkt.
Since 2008, the people of Hesse have been celebrating the cult dish in the large festival tent in the middle of downtown Frankfurt. What started with a crazy idea of the two cultural creators Maja Wolff and Torsten Müller, is now a firmly established cultural event for Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region.
A total of 49 Hessian restaurateurs demonstrate their skills around the preparation of the 7 herbs over 7 days. The different gourmet creations will be tasted by 560 guests per evening in the festival tent on the Roßmarkt. True to the Hessian tradition, eggs and potatoes will be served, and a free choice of drinks will also be available. At the end, the voting cards are drawn and the audience votes for the "Best Green Sauce" of the evening. Finally, the 7 daily winners will compete in the grand finale and guests will vote for the overall festival winner.
The culinary competition is embedded in a rotating cultural evening program featuring guest artists from comedy, cabaret, and music.
