The Melo Bar - Spanish Flair at the Bread Factory

The Melo Bar - Spanish Flair at the Bread Factory

Category: Bars

Sometimes it really pays to let your eyes wander a little. For example, when you enter the grounds of the bread factory. Because here you can find the MELO BAR, a real insider's tip, which offers a cozy location, good food and a family atmosphere. As soon as you enter the small tapas bar, you can feel the love and heart and soul that Alba Lopez Bott and her husband Matteo Bott have invested here since they took over the bar about a year ago. You immediately feel at home here and a sense of relaxed deceleration sets in immediately - regardless of whether there are only a few guests at the tables or whether the house is filled to capacity.

However, atmosphere is not everything, of course. Alba Lopez Bott knows that very well and that is why it is also important to her that the guest is offered even more. Of course, this refers primarily - but not exclusively - to the culinary offer, which is offered in the MELO BAR. The motto here is: manageable selection with high quality. In addition to hot and cold tapas such as dates wrapped in bacon, gambas al ajillo, olives with feta cheese or nachos with guacamole and sour cream, the menu also includes salads and burgers. Whatever is possible is made in-house by chef Juan Carlos Jiménez. The meat for the burgers, for example, is mixed and seasoned here himself, which makes for a very special taste. There are quite a few guests who claim that the burgers at MELO BAR, which are also available in vegetarian and vegan versions, are the best in town. But also the homemade bread, the homemade lemonade or the various Spanish tapas regularly cause rapture among regulars as well as those visitors who are here for the first time.

For those who like something a little more high-proof, the bar offers a wide selection of rums. There have even been rum tastings here, which were so well received that there will certainly be more such events in the future. Anyway, they try to offer more than just delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. There is live music once a month and Matteo Bott, the house DJ, spins most Fridays at the beautifully designed DJ booth.

In summer, a visit to the MELO BAR is almost more worthwhile, because then you can also sit outside in the idyllic courtyard of the Hausener Brotfabrik. When life pulsates here, spiced with a lot of Spanish passion and Latin American fire, then this increases the already high feel-good factor of this location even more. All in all, the MELO BAR is a good example of how, with a lot of love, heart and soul and also professional knowledge, something can be created that not only looks good, but also scores with good food and delicious drinks. From us there is a very clear recommendation: Definitely go there!
