CiderWorld 2020 - The Frankfurt cider fair goes online

After the CiderWorld trade fair, which had been planned for March, was initially postponed to August, the Frankfurt cider fair will now take place from 13 - 30 August 2020 in an online format for the first time. Visitors to the fair will not have to miss out on discovering and enjoying delicious ciders in this digital version either, because the 80 or so exhibitors, who would actually have been guests with a trade fair stand in the Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten, will present their products in a total of 13 online tastings between 13 and 30 August. For each of these tastings, a tasting package with six products each can be ordered.

The tasting packages will then be delivered to your home, where you can participate in the online tasting alone, or in a relaxed way with relatives and friends. And also the exchange with experts may not be missing in this unusual fair edition: in the chat questions about the individual wine press houses and their products are answered. The tastings will be moderated by cider sommelier and CiderWorld organizer Michael Stöckl, who will welcome a guest to each tasting. At his side will be, among others, Jens Becker from the cider shop JB, Jörg Stier from the Kelterei Stier, Robert Mangold from the Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten or cider blogger Sebastian Vogt.

You can find the exact dates and how to order the tasting packages at: https://cider-world.de/

The tastings will take place on Facebook and on YouTube instead

On July 10, the 2020 CiderWorld Medals were already awarded. This year, the award ceremony also took place online for the first time. For this purpose, a virtual award ceremony was staged for the first time in cooperation with the Astor Film Lounge in Frankfurt and the Wirtschaftsförderung Frankfurt am Main. Patron Markus Frank, head of the department of economics of the city of Frankfurt am Main handed over the certificates together with the Frankfurt cider queen Larissa I. virtuell:
