On Sunday, September 1, it's that time again: the Frankfurt TATORT duo Margarita Broich and Wolfram Koch alias Janneke and Brix get to investigate again on the First Channel. The latest case of the popular duo is entitled "Falscher Hase" and was directed by Emily Atef. Together with Lars Hubrich, Atef also wrote the screenplay. The film promises not only an entertaining story about a group of small-time crooks, but also a real love story. But don't worry, this TATORT will definitely not be a tearjerker a la Rosamunde Pilcher.
Besides Broich and Koch, Katharina Marie Schubert, Peter Trabner, Godehard Giese, Ronald Kukulies, Friedrich Mücke, Johanna Wokalek, Judith Engel, Isaak Dentler, Werner Wölbern and Eva Meckbach were also in front of the camera. And this is what "Falscher Hase" is about:
The Lohmann Solar Technology GmbH is on the verge of bankruptcy. In their desperation, Hajo Lohmann (Peter Trabner) and his wife Biggi (Katharina Marie Schubert) try an insurance fraud and stage a robbery. When they are surprised by a security man, Biggi grabs a gun and shoots the man between the eyes. Brix and Janneke are faced with a riddle: who is robbing a small, medium-sized company? Are they professionals at work here? And which crack shot was responsible for the murder of the security man?
While Brix (Wolfram Koch) and Janneke (Margarita Broich) investigate, things get increasingly complicated for Hajo and Biggi: overwhelmed with implementing their plan and covering up their crime, would-be gangsters also get in their way and try to take their insurance money. When the would-be gangsters come into contact with real gangsters, they all try to rip each other off without anyone really keeping track. When Biggi's insurance company refuses to pay on top of that, Biggi desperately tries to salvage what can be salvaged - and slowly but surely sinks into her self-inflicted misery.
Sounds promising, doesn't it? Looking at the songs that will be featured in this TATORT (including Nothing´s gonna change my love for you by Glenn Medeiros or Hold me now by Johnny Logan) we couldn't help but grin nostalgically.
Will you be joining us when "Wrong Bunny" flickers across the screen at around 8:20 p.m. on Sunday? (A bit later than usual due to the election in Brandenburg and Saxony).
