More than 250 people at vegan homeless dinner at Frankfurt Ratskeller

More than 250 needy people attended the second vegan homeless meal at the Ratskeller at Frankfurt's Römer last week. This action had again initiated the musician and producer Moses Pelham and the Bernd Reisig Foundation. "We are really pleased to see that we were able to inspire significantly more people for vegan food this year," explains Bernd Reisig. Nir Rosenfeld from the popular restaurant Kuli Alma was responsible for the food. His kitchen team created delicious meatless dishes using wheat and pea protein, accompanied by potatoes and cauliflower, lentil salad, red cabbage salad, white cabbage salad and potato salad. For dessert, the more than 30 volunteers served a variety of cakes. "It is a great pleasure for us to offer people a balanced plant-based meal, and thus show them how tasty vegan food can be, without constraint and with a lot of joy in eating. In our dishes, we pay attention to both taste and environmentally friendly, animal-free and healthy ingredients," says Nir Rosenfeld.

The drinks were supplied by PepsiCo and seltzer. Fruit was provided by Ralf Wisser GmbH. CIBORIUS Security & Service organized security, and WISAG cleaned the venue and ensured cleanliness and hygiene.

For the event at the Ratskeller, Stadtwerke Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main mbH (VGF) provided free tickets for public transportation in the city. Tickets to the event could acquire needy Meschen in the apron over different mechanisms and organizations free of charge.
