Open Air Cinema - LUCAS goes Preungesheim

On Friday, 18. August, at 8pm
Center of the Karl-Kirchner-Siedlung in Preungesheim

LUCAS International Festival for Young Film Fans will take place for the 40th time in Frankfurt, Offenbach and Wiesbaden from October 1 to 7, 2017. Already in August, LUCAS is getting in the mood for the festival week and is present with various events in Frankfurt.

Children from the children's center KIZ66 in Preungesheim have already curated the short film program "Best of LUCAS 2016" during the Easter holidays and are designing the evening including moderations and a specially produced trailer. During their project week, the ten- to thirteen-year-olds screened a large number of short films, which they then discussed and evaluated. They included the most popular films in their one-and-a-half-hour evening programme. To publicize their open-air cinema, the students designed colorful posters that they distributed in their neighborhood. The following films will be shown:

ES/US 2015. dir: Alvaro Ron. 7 min. english OV. Digital

DE 2016. dir: Ahmed Saleh. 5 mins. no dialogue. Digital

DE 2016. R: Keno Bültena. 9 min. Digital

FI 2015. dir: Leevi Lemmetty. 7 min. no dialogue. Digital

LUCAS will also be present at the Museumsuferfest with many hands-on activities. In addition, on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 August, the Preungesheim short film reel will be shown again in the cinema of the Deutsches Filmmuseum. More information on the festival programme will be available from mid-August onwards at l<link http: _blank> and, of course, in the festival newspaper
