Nearly two years ago, the #MainBecher was launched in Frankfurt. Launched by the non-profit initiative Cup2gether and the FES, the sustainability scheme aims to help significantly reduce the mass of waste generated by to-go cups. So far, the project can definitely be considered a success - but there is still room for improvement, of course. Now there is a new look for the #MainBecher, with which even more people should be inspired for the plastic-free deposit system.
The new addition to the #MainBecher comes just at the right time. Because when the temperatures drop and many football fans in the stadium now reach for hot cider or other hot drinks, then there should be a way to transport these delicious drinks without burning your fingers. And for this purpose, the #MainBecher with a heat sleeve in Eintracht design is now available in all stationary Eintracht fan shops.
The product is the first result of the new co-partnership between FES Frankfurter Entsorgungs- und Service GmbH and Eintracht Frankfurt. Within this framework, the largest waste disposal company in the Rhine-Main region and the Bundesliga football club are planning various campaigns in connection with sustainability for the next two years.
The felt sleeve is pushed onto the reusable deposit cup from below and then protects it from the heat of the drink during transport. Besides, it also serves as a chic and practical key ring inside and outside the stadium. Behind the plastic-free #MainBecher is a deposit system with currently over 120 partner cafés in and around Frankfurt. More information is available at www.mainbecher.de.
