For many, the summer holidays mean a vacation! Out of the city, to the sea or the mountains. But there are also families who stay at home during the summer holidays. For these, the "Obsthof am Steinberg" is again this year a very worthwhile destination with special offers. On Thursday 28 June and Thursday 2 August in each case from 11 to 18 o'clock in Nieder-Erlenbach Schneider's family day takes place again. The Obsthof team will be presenting a wide-ranging programme for those staying at home, with free admission. Depending on the weather - and it looks very good at the moment - the Schneiders offer for the youngest generation: face painting, apple tree climbing, bouncy castle in the yard, straw bale storage, petting sheep, live music and much more.
On Family Day, there is also a 10% discount on all food and drinks from the organic pub and, if it's very hot, ice cream and apple spritzer will provide the perfect refreshment - from controlled organic cultivation, of course. In addition, free parking is available near the farm. All facilities such as the wine tavern, farm shop and toilets are barrier-free. There is around 250 covered seats available in case of bad weather.
Besides these two days, there are also family walks on the programme. Those who are interested can book in advance online in Schneider's webshop an entertaining family hike at the "Obsthof am Steinberg" (4 p.m.), which costs 10 €/p.P. for adults and 5 €/p.P. for children up to eleven years. Children from 0-5 years participate free of charge. This hike takes you out into the orchards. Participants taste organic apple wines, juices and fruits under the apple tree. While wandering through nature, guests will enjoy fruit that has just ripened at the time, such as cornelian cherry, loquat, and European mushroom.
