As a result, the station will be out of service several times from mid-February until the end of July 2018. Subways will then pass through the station, but will not stop there.
Besides that, it will also be necessary to completely close the station from time to time until the end of June - also for the subways passing through. This means that no trains will run between Konstablerwache and Bockenheimer Warte on these days. The first of these closures will take place from Wednesday, 31 January, to Saturday, 3 February, at around 1 a.m.. During this period, the U4 and U5 lines will not run between Konstablerwache, Hauptbahnhof and Bockenheimer Warte. At Konstablerwache, the U5 towards Preungesheim will depart from the platform of the U5 towards Hauptbahnhof.
If you don't want to change to the S-Bahn as an alternative, you can also take tram line 12 from Konstablerwache to Hauptbahnhof. To get to Bockenheimer Warte, take subway lines U6 and U7 or trams 16 and 17.
Night service on the U4 line during the night of 2 to 3 February can proceed as normal despite the work. The U4 will resume service as scheduled at approximately 1:30 a.m.
