Who's flying? The Free Flight Hall in the Faust Bird Halls

(kus) The Bird Halls at Frankfurt Zoo were opened in 1961. They are divided into the Jewel Hall, the Great Hall and the Free Flight Hall. The latter was a sensation at the time and a symbol of modern zoo animal husbandry.

On Friday, 28 July, at 7pm it and its inhabitants will be the focus of the guided tour. However, animal keeper Natalie Schütz will introduce not only the animals, but also the plants of the free-flight hall and describe the challenges of caring for the small ecosystem. The event is suitable for anyone with a bit of curiosity.

Meet at the zoo entrance at Alfred-Brehm-Platz. The zoo ticket office will be open until 7pm. Admission to the zoo costs ten euros for adults and five euros for children and young people aged 6 to 17 from 9am to 5pm. From 5pm the after-work rate applies: eight euros for adults and four euros for children and young people.

The evening tours at Frankfurt Zoo take place from April to September on the last Friday of every month on a different theme.
