With the train to the train - mobile to the Frankfurt carnival

The fools have Frankfurt in the next days firmly in the grip. <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de specials fastnacht-in-frankfurt.html _blank>Fasching parties are going on everywhere and there are small as well as big carnival parades. The biggest one is of course the parade through Frankfurt's city center on Sunday, February 11, due to which there will be obstructions in the traffic. Therefore, it's best to leave your car behind and travel by public transport. Trains and buses offer more trips and more space especially on this day, so you can get to the parade as quickly and safely as possible:

The subway lines U1 to U8, for example, offer more space on Sunday due to additional cars. In addition, the U3 runs from about 11 am to 6 pm at quarter-hourly intervals - twice as often as usual on Sundays - between Südbahnhof and Hohemark.

Tram line 12 will run every 7.5 minutes between Schwanheim and Willy-Brandt-Platz from about 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., as will line 16 between Hauptbahnhof and Oberrad. Line 15 already runs every 15 minutes from 11 am.

Bus line 30 runs between Bad Vilbel and Konstablerwache from about 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with articulated buses - even every 7.5 minutes. Lines 36, 43 and 51 also run at a denser frequency from 11am.

However, some bus and tram lines are also affected by the road closures, having to be diverted or interrupted: In Frankfurt's west, tram line 11 will only run between Höchst and Hauptbahnhof from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., while line 12 will only run between Schwanheim and Willy-Brandt-Platz.

In Frankfurt East, a joint line 11/12 runs from 6 am to 11 am from Fechenheim Schießhüttenstraße via Ostendstraße, Konstablerwache and Bornheim Mitte to Hugo-Junkers-Straße and back. From 11 a.m. on, the "11" turns off beforehand to the zoo, the line 12 in Nordend to Friedberger Landstraße and goes as line 18 to Gravensteiner-Platz. Line 18 does not run between Nibelungenplatz/FH and Lokalbahnhof.

Bus line 36 will be suspended from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will only operate between Westbahnhof and Konstablerwache and between Hainer Weg and Südbahnhof. Line 33 will not resume service until after 4pm.

Just like lines 11 and 12, VGF's Ebbelwei express will not be able to use the Altstadt route this Sunday and will operate via Sachsenhausen.

We wish you a good journey and lots of fun at the big Frankfurt carnival parade!
