There's no question that Wäldchestag is and remains the most important holiday in Frankfurt, even though most shops have been open all day for several years now. Only a few years ago, all Frankfurters were given free time from 1 p.m. at the latest to celebrate Wäldchestag at the Oberforsthaus in the city forest. But even though this beautiful tradition is unfortunately a thing of the past, the people of Frankfurt do not let it spoil their desire to celebrate. The enormous variety of gastronomic offers, rides, stalls and musical performances is proof of this again this year.
Bäppi La Belle and Mario Steffen, among others, will be playing a little hit on the rainbow stage (26.05.), Hanne Kah will play folk pop and the popular cover band SCHILLING Live will also give a little concert (24.05.). On the Rock & Soul stage DJ Thorsten Schmitz will play music from Country to Elvis and the Sunset-Live Partyband will be in a good mood on May 26th. And on the binding stage the Frankfurt Oktoberfestband provides the right atmosphere (23.05.). This and much more will be offered on the four days on the various stages of the festival grounds.
All in all, 117 stands invite visitors to visit this traditional folk festival from 23 to 26 May. Ten children's rides, the large Ferris wheel, which offers a magnificent view of the skyline and the city forest, a roller coaster, 42 restaurants, 19 stalls, 16 play stalls, 5 rides and much more make the Volksfest a perfect destination for the whole family.
Frankfurt-Tipp wishes you a lot of fun!
