Frankfurter white cabbage casserole

What tastes better than a simple white cabbage casserole? Clearly, a white cabbage casserole with frankfurters! And for this frankfurter casserole, you will need the following ingredients:

Ingredients

- 1 head of white cabbage

- 70 grams of jerky

<x>.N</x>

- 60 grams of lard

- 2 onions

- 1/4 liter cream

- 1 apple

- 1-2 glasses frankfurter cider

- 2 eggs

- Pepper

- Salt

- 5 additional slices of jerky

- Frankfurters (2 per person)

Preparation:

First you need to prepare the white cabbage. To do this, you need to wash the head and cut it into slices. Then put the white cabbage in boiling salted water and scald it for a few minutes, then drain it in a colander.

Now you need to get to cutting: The apple, onions, and jerky need to be diced into small pieces before you can sauté them in the lard. Then put the white cabbage on top, season it with salt and pepper and then mix the whole thing vigorously several times. Now let this mixture cool down.

Meanwhile, you can already grease the baking dish. Now mix the cream, the egg yolks and the apple cider (depending on your own preference 1 to 2 glasses) under the cooled white cabbage-dried meat-apple mixture. Then pour the whole into the casserole dish and cover with the slices of dried meat. The casserole now goes into the oven, where it has to bake at about 220 degrees for about 25 to 30 minutes. You can use this time to warm up the Frankfurter sausages. These are then served to the white cabbage and consumed with a cool Schoppen! Simply delicious!
