Marzipan Cookies

When you think of marzipan, you automatically think of the delicious Bethmännchen in Frankfurt. But the tasty raw mass can also be used to make other delicacies, such as the marzipan cookies, for which you need the following ingredients:

Ingredients

- 500 grams of marzipan raw paste

.- 1 egg white

- 20 grams flour

- 120 grams powdered sugar

Preparation:

First you need to crush the marzipan so that it is easy to mix and knead. Now add the icing sugar, stir the egg white still under it and then knead from the whole until you have obtained a solid dough. Roll out this dough on a floured surface (approx. 3-5 mm thick). Now cut out small rectangles from this surface, which you then place on a greased baking tray, or on a tray lined with baking paper. You can also decorate the surface of the cookies, e.g. with a knife, by scoring the surface several times diagonally. Leave the whole thing to stand overnight in a cool place. The next day, bake the cookies in the oven at 160 degrees (convection oven 140 degrees) for about 25 minutes. And already these delicious cookies are ready!
