'Frankfurt is Sour' Maker's Mark® brings whisky sour creations to 13 bars in Frankfurt

Taste the Main Character of the evening: the famous whisky brand Maker's Mark® invites Frankfurt to engage in a special taste experience, because from October 23, 2023, the "Frankfurt is Sour" campaign will start in the Main metropolis. For four weeks, Frankfurt residents will be able to rediscover the Maker's Mark® Sour in 13 selected bars. A large out-of-home campaign with humorous slogans on posters throughout the city draws attention to it, including individual bar posters that showcase the bartenders and their drink creations. With the help of a QR code on the posters, interested parties are taken directly to the landing page, where they can find all the information about the campaign as well as a competition. "Frankfurt is Sour" is also supported with a high-reach social media campaign as well as other channel activations to attract the attention of Frankfurt's residents.

The campaign focuses on the Whisky Sour, one of the world's first cocktails, prepared with the distinctive Maker's Mark® whisky. Each of the participating 13 bars has created a special Maker's Mark Sour especially for the campaign. Those who order the unique Maker's Mark® Sour creations will receive a complimentary small-batch classic whisky sour. This allows guests to compare the two delicious drinks and see for themselves the unique quality of Maker's Mark®.

In addition to the drink creations, the campaign offers another highlight for Frankfurters: winning a trip to Kentucky. Entering the sweepstakes is simple: visitors to the landing page register to win a trip to Kentucky, where Maker's Mark® was founded. Next, they sample a Maker's Mark® Sour creation at one of the participating bars and scan the QR code on the serving tray. The more bars visited, the higher the chances of winning the trip to Kentucky. The campaign and entry into the sweepstakes are 18 and over.

The "Frankfurt is Sour" campaign promises to be an indulgent experience, offering Frankfurters a unique opportunity to discover premium Maker's Mark® whiskey and a love for Maker's Mark® Sour. The own creations with names like "New Frankfurt Sour", "Apple Corn Sour" or "Astral" show the classic whisky sour in a new light. From October 23 to November 19, guests 18 and older can look forward to high-quality ingredients perfectly matched to the softness and sweetness of Maker's Mark®.
