Vote now: 'Who will be athlete of the year?

Online voting for Frankfurt's athletes of the year 2023 begins

ffm. In 2023, Frankfurt athletes have achieved numerous outstanding successes. At the annual Frankfurt Sports Gala, the City of Frankfurt am Main will honor these achievements in a festive setting.

Awards will be presented in up to nine categories on Saturday,November 18. In three of them, voting is possible: the sportswoman of the year, the sportsman of the year and the team of the year will be decided by a public vote, in which citizens can vote for their favorites up to and including Wednesday, November 8, at sportlerehrung-frankfurt.de. An expert jury will decide on the award winners in the categories of young athlete, para-athlete and trainer of the year.

"The athlete:s nominated this year have once again impressively demonstrated that our sports city of Frankfurt is not only successful, but above all diverse. Whether in rugby, tennis, golf, soccer or squash, each and every one of these achievements deserves great respect and recognition and I am sure it will be great fun for the Frankfurter:innen to review them once again and make their personal decision in the three categories. I will do the same and am already looking forward to it when the secret of who the Frankfurt Sportspeople of the Year are will be revealed at the Frankfurt Sports Gala," says Lord Mayor Mike Josef.

The nominated athletes either start for a Frankfurt club or have their residence in Frankfurt am Main. The Sports Office of the City of Frankfurt am Main will raffle off tickets to the Frankfurt Sports Gala among all participants in the voting.
