13th Frankfurt Oktoberfest: Stefan Mross is official ambassador

Singing legend Stefan Mross becomes ambassador of the Frankfurt Oktoberfest

The Frankfurt Oktoberfest at Deutsche Bank Park goes into its 13th round. From Wednesday, September 6, 2023, up to and including Sunday, October 8, 2023, Dirndl and lederhosen again determine the cityscape - and in the festival hall Hausmann everything revolves around mood music, Schunkelspaß and Hessian-Bavarian cuisine. If in the past years always a woman as Ambschafterin for the hessian Wiesn recruited, makes this year a prominent man desire on the celebration: The Macher of the Frankfurt Octoberfest - the Festwirte Patrick and Dennis Hausmann as well as Festwirtpartner Kai man - could win the people music star and TV moderator Stefan Mross as official Ambschafter. Among other things, he will be present at the opening of the festival. During the almost five party weeks, 26 events await Oktoberfest fans. The organizers expect around 60,000 guests, 20,000 more than last year. "As a true Bavarian, it is an honor for me to represent Oktoberfest fun in the Main metropolis of Frankfurt," says Stefan Mross. The 47-year-old is not only a fan of this special way of celebrating and enjoying, as a singer he is also at home in the world of German pop. Since 2005, Mross has been a regular on TV as the host of the ARD program "Immer wieder sonntags." As befits an Oktoberfest ambassador, he will open the 13th Frankfurt Oktoberfest on September 6, 2023, together with Mickie Krause and many celebrities from show business, politics and business. He did not have to think long when Kai Mann in Mexico asked him for it last week on a joint trip. Frankfurt Oktoberfest fans can look forward to numerous acts, starting with the grand opening with Mickie Krause to the Hammer Oktoberfest with Roy Hammer and the Pralinées to the Herzl Oktoberfest with Jimmie Wilson and the Weather Girls, the traditional Almabtrieb with the Frankfurter Oktoberfest Band or the 90s party with Oli P. The Trachtnächte (four this year), a Fash'n'Night, NDW fun with Markus and the 80s Oktoberfest are also not missing. In addition to the evening events, there are six family and party Frühshoppen, each on Sunday mornings and on German Unity Day, October 3. "It's great that we can count on the greats of the Schlager world every year," notes Dennis Hausmann. "With them, we will bring the tent to a boil again; dancing on tables and benches is pre-programmed."

"We are looking forward to the exclusive Frankfurt Oktoberfest beer from the Binding brewery again in 2023. In addition, all bars are open again this year, including the legendary champagne bar," adds Patrick Hausmann. In addition, the menu has been revised and will surprise with a new range of Bavarian-Hessian delicacies.

Three air trips to the Maldives to win

Two of these trips will go to the winners of the Maßkrugstemmens, the third trip will be raffled off among all ticket buyers. "Since we are estimated to have only 10,000 buyers with an expected 60,000 tickets sold, the chance of winning is very high," explains Kai Mann. Reiner Meutsch Foundation Fly & Help: Continuation of last year's donation project Every ticket helps children all over the world: "The Frankfurt Oktoberfest is also building a school in 2024 with the Reiner Meutsch Foundation Fly & Help," reports Kai Mann. "For every ticket sold, we donate one euro to the non-profit foundation, which is committed to the education and upbringing of children and young people. Our donation will go toward building a school in the Dominican Republic." If everything goes according to plan, with the help of RTL - Wir helfen Kindern, it could even become two schools each year.
