The year 2020 is a very special year for one company in Frankfurt: the long-established Binding Brewery is celebrating its 150th birthday. And that's where the people of Frankfurt are invited to join in the celebrations, of course. On August 1, 1870, Conrad Binding laid the foundation for the Binding brewery with the
opening of his brewhouse on Garküchenplatz in Frankfurt's old town. With entrepreneurial skill, he shaped the business into a flourishing brewery and built a modern production facility on Sachsenhäuser Berg in 1881. To this day, the Binding brewery is at home here and celebrates its anniversary year with numerous activities and events.
The biggest celebration will of course take place directly on the birthday, i.e. on August 1, 2020, on the brewery's premises. This is where the big brewery festival will take place on that special day. The Binding Band Contest will also be the focus of the jubilee year. The best artists and bands from Hesse are sought here. Currently, the contest is in the exciting jury phase. "In our anniversary year, we want to thank the many friends of the Binding brewery who appreciate 150 years of tradition and experience of the art of brewing that has been handed down to them," says Claudia Geisler, press spokeswoman for the Binding brewery. "We are already looking forward to the many wonderful promotions and hope that we can show many Frankfurt residents and people from the region why we are a popular Frankfurt original."
So when the brewery courtyard opens its doors for the big anniversary celebration on August 1, 2020 at Sachsenhäuser Berg, there will be a toast and an attractive program with beer tapping, brewery tours, beer tastings and live music to celebrate. The winners of the Binding Band Contest will also make their grand appearance on the Binding stage. And of course the Binding ambassadors Mundstuhl and other Frankfurt originals will also be there. So you should mark this day in your calendar.
Regional specialities and of course Binding beer will be served. All Binding and Frankfurt lovers as well as customers are cordially invited to join in the celebration of 150 years of the Binding brewery.
"It's great that in this special year, we will be highly visible with our anniversary logo not only now at the two carnival parades in downtown Frankfurt and in Klaa Paris, but throughout the entire region," says Claudia Geisler. And she adds: "Of course we still have many surprises in store. But because the year is still young, not everything will be revealed at this stage."
