15th kulinart in Frankfurt - An anniversary for epicures

On 27 and 28 October, a particularly epicurean birthday will be celebrated in Frankfurt: The kulinart epicurean fair is already doing the honours for the 15th time in the Main metropolis. For this anniversary, the fair will also be returning to the Bockenheimer Depot, where it was based for many years. Over the years, the fine gourmet fair has become a permanent fixture in the annual calendar of events for many. This is due to the fact that quality is a top priority here, which begins with the selection of the exhibitors. These are people who love the special and stand personally behind their products. With their authenticity, they form the heart of kulinart. They not only pay attention to quality, but also to sustainability in the production process and have a profound expert knowledge that they are happy to share with visitors. This makes visiting kulinart a pleasure every time.

About 80 exhibitors will once again celebrate the 15th edition of the gourmet fair with visitors in the beautiful ambience of the Bockenheim Depot. Of course, there will be something for every special taste at the anniversary edition of kulinart, too, from regional to international specialities, from tried-and-tested classics to current food trends and from exclusive tabletop design to exquisite travel destinations. If you love indulgence, this is definitely the place to be!

Fancy some highlights of this year's offerings? Here you go:

For example, Spain's host region Galicia is inviting visitors on a culinary voyage of discovery, and Thailand's tourist board aims to introduce visitors to the cuisine of central Thailand with the help of Pim Ampikitpanich's company Konkrua. The beautiful handmade Konkrua cooking boxes now bring specialties such as Pad Thai, Tom Yam Kung and the delicious green curry Kaeng Khiao Wan to home kitchens to recreate.

That spices make you happy is known not only in Thailand, but also in Wiesenbronn near Würzburg: that's where Gewürzglück comes from, who want to inspire every amateur chef to new and newly discovered dishes with their exciting spice blends. The pure seasoning power of the fully ripe tomato has been discovered by Tomami, whose name is derived from the Japanese term for the "fifth sense of taste" - umami. What it tastes like when it is not sweet, sour, salty or bitter can now be experienced at kulinart.

And what is your favourite spice? Meat, for example. With Gourmetfleisch.de, the fair has gained a pioneer in the online meat trade as an exhibitor. For over 100 years, the Mönchengladbach-based family business has relied on genuine craftsmanship by master butchers and in-depth expertise. In the meantime, even two certified meat sommeliers complement the know-how of the online meat manufactory. To be experienced offline exclusively at kulinart in Frankfurt.

Of course, meatless enjoyment is also catered for at kulinart: Sandner Früchte, for example, brings the large selection and great quality of Italian fruit and vegetable markets to the fair and Obsthof Schneider also serves freshly harvested fruit and vegetables as well as homemade jams and jellies. Of course, apples in particular cannot be missing in Frankfurt. That's why the classic fine fruity apple cider vinegars Dr. Höhl's Bioess, made from fully ripe organic apples from German meadow orchards, will be back again this year. Brand new in the programme, on the other hand, are the liquid apple specialities from Born in the Wetterau from Butzbach-Ostheim. From apple schnapps to pure or sparkling cider to "Local Stöffche", a fine tradition is being modernised here. And the gin hype doesn't stop at apples either: the Bembel Gin refreshes with apple and citrus notes and comes to the kulinart in the stylish flower-decorated clay bottle.

Gin fans will also be delighted by the Rosebottel Bar stand: It will be showcasing its fine lemonade and tonic essences at the fair, as well as the mixing skills of its bar staff. Dr. Jagla's elixirs also promise high-proof enjoyment. The exquisite herbal bitters from the former monastery pharmacy are "macerated" by hand according to an old family recipe. The best wines from the region from wineries such as Sandwiese and Beyer as well as fine wines from overseas from Vinovossum leave nothing to be desired and no gap in the house bar and wine cellar.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Pâtisserie Anna Reckmann has some delicacies up her sleeve. Her philosophy: "The Pâtisserie resembles alchemy: it is the art of combining substances into something new and transforming them into something wonderful". Visitors to kulinart can sample what she has managed to create on the spot. As well as the sweet little cakes by Kuchenstil - as the name suggests, also at Sti(e)l.

Popular highlights of the fair in 2018 will once again be the freshly tapped beers from Meckatzer Löwenbräu and the Miele Kocharena. Selected exhibitors will prepare their specialities in the cooking arena and spoil the visitors, including the two guest regions Galicia and Thailand.

And the best part: All the delicacies can not only be tasted here, but also taken home - mostly sold directly from the producer and often still at the lower fair price. So you don't just bring back beautiful impressions from the fair, but can also continue to enjoy them long afterwards.
