2019 was the last time the popular Festival4Family took place. At that time, over 30,000 people came to the Commerzbank Arena - now Deutsche Bank Park - in Frankfurt on the day of the festival. Then in 2020, the festival came digitally into the living rooms and spread a little happiness and exuberance there during the first lockdown. Now, in 2022, the popular family event is returning to the Rhine-Main region: on the first weekend of the summer vacations (July 23 and 24), Germany's largest family festival will make a guest appearance in Hochheim and delight visitors to the market grounds with a sensational world of entertainment. After a two-year break, the anticipation for this beautiful event is great!
Festival4Family 2022 is sponsored by the "Initiative Musik", the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and "NeuStart Kultur". Media partner of the Festival4Family 2022 is the radio station hr3, as patron acts the Hessian Prime Minister Volker Bouffier.
Over 100 attractions on more than 32.000 square meters
For the new venue, the organizers from Trifels Verlag held many talks with various cities in the Rhine-Main region. The choice finally fell on Hochheim - for good reason: "With its central location between Mainz, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and Darmstadt - right in the heart of the Rhine-Main region - and the town's event experience with the Hochheim Market, Hochheim represents the ideal location for an event of this magnitude.", explains Björn Fritsch of Trifels Verlag GmbH.
Visitors are to be offered an even more attractive event than they have experienced so far at previous Festival4Family editions. A varied and elaborate program will be offered on more than 32,000 square meters: Three stages (hr3 Main Stage, Kids Stage with Oliver Magers KiKoLiLa truck, Sports Stage), Eintracht Frankfurt, a Ravensburger games world, a gaming area, a BABY born experience world, the Süwag energy garden, rides for young and old, a 4Family parade among others.The parade includes Peppa Wutz, Bernd das Brot, Ghostbusters Germany, Cantina Clan (Star Wars), a sports and action park with many clubs from the region, a large food area and much more. All this invites you to join in, marvel and have fun.
On the large hr3 Main Stage, among others, children's music legend Volker Rosin ("The singing kangaroo", "The song about me", and many more.), the well-known children's rock band Heavysaurus, the indie pop sensation Finn & Jonas, singer-songwriter Oliver Mager ("Das Kinderzimmer rockt"), comedy star Maddin Schneider and party king Markus Becker ("Das rote Pferd") invite you to sing, laugh, clap and dance along.
Charity as a central aspect
The charity aspect is always in the foreground at Festival4Family. This is no different in 2022: this year, the children's charity Childaid Network will be supported. At the festival, funds will be collected in particular for projects in India.
