Another bookcase for Eckenheim

(kus) On Friday, 3. March, 4 p.m., the head of the local council 10, Robert Lange, together with the bookcase patrons Annette Blome and Karen Dombrofski, will open a public bookcase in front of the student dormitory at Porthstraße 1 in Eckenheim. Citizens are invited and, if they would like to donate books, they can bring them to the opening. Frankfurt's public bookcases are approved, set up and maintained by the Office of Street Construction and Development.

Many of Frankfurt's neighborhoods have open bookcases that allow people to exchange, borrow and give away literature for free. The bookcases are open around the clock and anyone can put books worth reading in them or take them with them. The first open bookcase has been at Merianplatz in Bornheim since November 2009
