Apprentices of the Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt are 'best cook' and 'best hotel specialist'

Congratulations! At the 37th Hessian Youth Championships in the hospitality trades, two trainees from the Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt stood on the winners' podium. Kristin Heinze (21), a third-year apprentice, took first place in the hotel management category. And Amadeus Kraus (23), who was able to take his final examination early at the end of January due to his excellent performance, won the chef category. The two can proudly call themselves Hesse champions from now on.

Emely Gaul (22), in her second year of apprenticeship as a cook, made it to the very good fourth place. Hotel director Karina Ansos is thrilled by the good results of her apprentices: "I am very pleased that our apprentices are so committed and obviously also ambitious. And of course it speaks for the quality of our training that we were able to take two first places at this competition - I'm very proud of them." At the Hessian Championships last year, a trainee from the hotel had also won in the category "cook/chef".

A total of 41 trainees from Hesse's hotel and hospitality industry took part in the State Youth Championships, which were held in Frankfurt on 12 and 13 March. The winners in the fields of hotel management, restaurant management, system catering and cooks qualified for the national youth championships in Berlin in the fall of this year. Of course, we are keeping our fingers crossed for them!

About the Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt: The charm of a country villa, the atmosphere of an oasis in the countryside, international and regional cuisine, a wide range of wellness and sports facilities - the Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt combines ideal conditions for a relaxing stay. The five-star city resort is located just outside Frankfurt and is set in a 15-hectare park on the hotel's own lake - a pleasant antipole to the big city. 225 rooms including 37 suites in various categories reflect the hotel's country house character in a pleasantly modern form. Following a comprehensive conversion and renovation phase, the five-star superior hotel has been shining since the beginning of 2015 with a new, distinctive style that enlivens the hotel's historic character while emphasizing the rural charm of the former estate and hunting lodge.
