At the moment, the signs at the MyZeil shopping center are pointing to change - the focus is on the future. But before the entrance area and the fourth floor will shine in all new splendour, MyZeil is first taking a look back - back to the 80s. Until 11 February, the special exhibition "Achtung 80er! - hr1 on Tour" will be on show at the centre on the Zeil until 11 February. After Limburg and Kassel, Frankfurt is the third stop of the exhibition, which allows all children of the 80s and all those who experienced this very special decade to wallow in beautiful nostalgia.
Whether in a replica of a youth room, where probably everyone will discover something they owned themselves, or in a showcase that traces the dawn of the digital age with the first Gameboy, the first Commodore computer, a Walkman or one of the first mobile phones - there really is plenty to look at and rediscover here. Of course, the stars of the 80s from music, sports and film will also be honored. Since the exhibition is presented by hr1, it is not surprising that music plays a big role in this exhibition anyway.
Visitors can listen to songs from the 80s, can watch video contributions and play videogames. Or simply look at the numerous beautiful exhibits, which for a brief moment brings back the era of "mullets" and skinny jeans. But at the latest, when you look at some exhibited clothes, you can also somehow be glad that the 80s are one thing above all: a very nice memory!
The hr1 exhibition "Achtung 80er! - hr1 on Tour" is presented in shopping centres and tours all over Hesse. It can be visited free of charge during the opening hours of the centers.
