Bicycle Coding Campaign at Friedberger Platz

(em) On Saturday, April 08, 2017, the 2nd Police Department will be conducting a bicycle coding campaign from 10.00 o'clock to 16.00 o'clock on the Friedberger place a coding action for the protection against bicycle theft through.

The bicycle is a popular means of transport in the city. It is fast, environmentally friendly and inexpensive. Many people use it every day. Thieves know this too: new, used and even old bicycles of every type and brand are stolen again and again. They don't even stop at children's bikes.

Bike coding, along with mechanical and electronic security devices, is a very good way to protect your bike from theft. A special device is used to visibly engrave a personal identification number into the frame. The code gives the police clues to the rightful owner and makes it much harder for thieves to resell their stolen goods.

The police team will also be happy to answer any questions you may have on the subject of bicycle security.

NOTE: Please bring proof of ownership and your ID card. Bicycles with a carbon frame and children's bikes are not suitable for coding
