Can you still remember the time when BUBBLE TEA branches mushroomed all over the city? A very similar phenomenon can be seen with burgers at the moment. Hardly a week goes by without a new burger joint opening its doors in Frankfurt. Even though not all of these shops will be able to survive in the long term, it is safe to assume that the trend as a whole will be much more long-lived than the bubble tea boom. For one thing, burgers appeal to a much broader target group, and for another, there are many more variations and specialties with which the individual providers can delight their guests.
Really good burgers with fresh ingredients are literally on everyone's lips right now. And so it is hardly surprising that successful franchise companies are preparing to conquer this hotly contested market in Germany as well. The latest example of this is FIVE GUYS BURGER from the USA. What started as a small family business in 1986 quickly developed into a real cult in the Washington area, so that founders Jerry and Janie Murrell turned it into a franchise in 2003. In just 18 months, over 300 new locations sprouted up across the US. There are now almost 1,500 FIVE GUYS stores worldwide - and soon one in Frankfurt.
The location the popular chain has chosen for Frankfurt is very attractive. Centrally located at the Hauptwache, right next to the e-cinemas in the former premises of the traditional perfumery Kobberger, which recently moved to the Palais Thurn und Taxis, FIVE GUYS will offer its burgers and your delicious fries deep-fried in peanut oil later this year. Special treats like the popular Peanut Butter Shake will also be on the menu. The plan is to seat around 150 guests in the store to enjoy premium burgers hand-formed from fresh meat. We're looking forward to seeing for ourselves what makes FIVE GUYS BURGER so popular in the U.S. and other locations starting in December.
