Celebration mood in Frankfurt: Over 80% of tickets sold for the Oktoberfest

Frankfurt Oktoberfest: Tent set up in record time, tickets are running low

You can rely on the festive mood of the people of Frankfurt: "In the meantime, we have sold more than 80 percent of the available tickets, our three popular Tracht nights are even already sold out," reports Kai Mann, partner of the Festwirt sibling Dennis and Patrick Hausmann.

Because of the Hesse derby Eintracht Frankfurt against SV Darmstadt 98 on August 20, the builders of the marquee have less time than usual. The organizers have therefore increased the construction team from 30 to 40 people. "This year, we can only start setting up later than usual," Dennis Hausmann tells us. "We can only get started when the Hesse Derby is through. Normally, we need at least three weeks until the tent is up. This will be record time." An "old" novelty will also be set up then: the popular champagne bar, which was last seen at the Frankfurt Oktoberfest in 2019, will be operated by festival hosts Patrick and Dennis Hausmann from this year. 6,000 square meters are taken up by the marquee and attached kitchen on the square in front of Deutsche Bank Park, and the festival grounds cover a total of around 12,500 square meters. "Around 50 waiters and waitresses will be there for our guests this year; security is provided by around 30 security staff," Patrick Hausmann tells us. The Frankfurt Oktoberfest will take place from September 6 to October 8. After the opening with ambassador Stefan Mross and Mickie Krause as the main act, Oli.P, Jimmie Wilson, the Weather Girls, Roy Hammer and the Pralinées and Markus, among others, will be on stage. A highlight will be the Enzian Festival with Heino.

Bookings for individual and group tickets are available online at www.frankfurter-oktoberfest.de or by calling the ticket hotline 069 - 809 203 28. Tickets are also available at all known advance booking offices. For every ticket sold, one euro will go to a school project in the Dominican Republic, realized by the non-profit Reiner Meutsch Foundation Fly & Help. Information about the foundation and the project is available at www.fly-and-help.de
