Chamber of Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main brings pop-up store to MyZeil

Get a hankering for an apprenticeship while shopping? That could happen to you now at the MyZeil shopping center. Here, the Chamber of Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main has opened the pop-up store "Xperience Handwerk", which is intended to make an apprenticeship tasty for young people and to convey important information in an almost playful way - according to the motto "experience, build, do it yourself". On the 2nd floor of the shopping center, young people who are still undecided about what to do after school can get information shortly before the start of the new training year. Taking part and trying things out are expressly encouraged: in addition, there is all the information about dual training in the skilled trades at a glance.

"For a few weeks now, we have been extending the nationwide campaign for the Summer of Vocational Training," says Susanne Haus, President of the Chamber of Skilled Trades Frankfurt-Rhein-Main. "We want to show young people, their parents, grandparents and teachers how great skilled crafts are. The diversity of our 130 skilled trades is unique. Here, anyone can develop their talents who has the desire to lend a hand, to work independently even during their training, and who is happy at the end of the day about what great things they have achieved with their hands. The Corona pandemic has shown that crafts are indispensable and play a key role in the basic economic, social and societal provision of our society. At the same time, hardly any other sector of the economy offers such future-proof prospects with excellent further training and career opportunities. Our companies train because excellent skilled workers will continue to be in demand in the future, providing a foundation for the globally valued 'Made in Germany' seal of quality that our customers can rely on."

"The cooperation with the Chamber of Skilled Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main is excellent," says Center Manager Andrea Poul. "We are proud that the Chamber of Skilled Crafts has chosen to hold its training fair with us at the MyZeil shopping center and hope that many young people will be able to find out about their future training positions and make contacts." She said she was convinced that, due to the centre's target group, MyZeil was an excellent platform for the topic of training in classic skilled trades.

In terms of training, the Chamber of Skilled Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main, together with its local and regional partners, is currently putting all its eggs in one basket in the final spurt of the career orientation phase for young people. Only recently it went online with a purely digital trade fair stand: Seven days a week, interested parties can click their way through career opportunities in the skilled trades around the clock: https://www.azubimesse-handwerk.digital/

There are currently around 2,000 apprenticeships still available in the district of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main; all available apprenticeships in the region can be found here: https://www.lehrstellen-radar.de/
