Lord Mayor Feldmann and City Councillor Heilig open Christmas exhibition
(kus) Once again this year, a Christmas exhibition will be held in the <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de veranstaltungen s event weihnachten-im-palmengarten-1.html _blank>Palmengarten. From now until 26 December, visitors to the Palmengarten can get in the mood for Christmas. The gardeners have conjured up the spirit of Christmas in the Palmengarten with Christmas decorations, a sea of flowers and lush flower beds. Head of the Environment Rosemarie Heilig: "Could there be a better place than the Palmengarten to take a little time out in the hectic pre-Christmas period in a colourful, Christmassy exhibition and reflect on the essentials?"
But it's not just flowers that are setting the pre-Christmas mood at the Palmengarten. On the occasion of the exhibition opening, the Palmengarten and Botanical Garden Foundation presented a cheque. The money is to be used for the construction of the Flower and Butterfly House. At the same time, advance sales began for the Spring Ball, the proceeds of which will once again flow into the educational work of the Palmengarten this year. Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann expressed his thanks for the donation. "The foundation system is a great tradition of our city. May I thank the Palmengarten and Botanical Garden Foundation for its donation of 2.5 million euros on behalf of the entire city. I have the additional hope that many Frankfurt residents will take Christmas as an opportunity to give away tickets to the Spring Ball," said Feldmann.
