The program and the new mug were presented
With big steps the Christmas season is coming towards us. On November 23 there will be the first highlight: the opening of the Frankfurt Christmas Market. The illumination of the tree - in which this year a Frankfurt citizen can also participate - is a highlight every year and silences most of the grumblers who had voiced negative opinions in the weeks since the arrival of the tree. The musical accompaniment to the opening is taking a slightly different approach in 2016 than usual. Instead of pop stars, this year Max Giesinger will be on stage alongside performers from the Frankfurt Opera. This will certainly mean that the opening will be even more crowded than usual.
In the course of the program presentation, the brand new mulled wine cup was also presented. After the museum city of Frankfurt determined the motif last year, in 2016 it is the sports city of Frankfurt that has been immortalized on the cheerfully decorated cup. For collectors an absolute must and all others can look forward especially to what this cup will be abundantly filled with again in 2016.
In addition to the numerous stands - about 200 in the area around Paulsplatz/Römer and Mainufer - there will again be numerous additional offers such as special city tours, Advent concerts, tower blowing or the visit of Santa Claus. And the popular Christmas market of artists in the Paulskirche and in the Römerhallen, which will already take place for the 94th time, may not be missing, of course.
