Last Friday, there was once again a good reason to celebrate cider in Frankfurt: at this year's CiderWorld Awards, three businesses from Hesse were also honored. The three winners accepted the CiderWorld Medals 2021 in person at the traditional restaurant Zum Buchscheer.
The CiderWorld Award has been organized since 2018 under the scientific advice of the Beverage Technology Institute at Geisenheim University. The Institute, headed by Prof. Dr. Frank Will, analyses all submitted products before they are put to an internationally expert jury for sensory testing. This important competition with 176 products from 77 producers from 17 countries is unique in this combination worldwide.

.With strong international competition, it is of course all the more pleasing that three of the winners are from Hesse, having achieved the highest score of 120 in their respective CiderWorld Awards category:

Already on World Apple Wine Day, 3. June 2021, all Hessian and international winners of the CiderWorld Medal 2021 in the CiderWorld'21 Award pandemic were virtually awarded by the Frankfurt Cider Queen Larissa I and patron Councillor Markus Frank, City of Frankfurt am Main. The award ceremony was recorded in the great hall of the Astor Filmlounge MyZeil in Frankfurt am Main.

Hans-Joachim Wolff from the Frankfurt Economic Development Agency, praised CiderWorld Frankfurt and the CiderWorld Award as an important event for the city of Frankfurt am Main, where producers from Frankfurt and the region meet with international colleagues in Frankfurt. New customers are won through innovative apple ciders. Cider lovers had to do without a presence fair also in 2021, but there is a tasty alternative:
