Cinema above the rooftops of the city: This year there is again on the roof terrace of the Haus am Dom. From July 19 to August 11, viewers can not only watch special films on the big screen under the open sky directly at the Kaiserdom, but at the same time enjoy the spectacular view of Frankfurt's skyscraper scenery and the new old town. But the great view alone does not make the summer cinema on the roof a special experience. The eight films that have been selected for this year also make sure of that.
For three weeks, current feature films and documentaries will be shown daily at 8.30 pm. It kicks off with the musical film "A Star is Born." Also shown will be the highly acclaimed film "Styx," the wonderful insider tip "In den Gängen", the audience favorite "Gundermann", the multi-award-winning love drama "Cold War" or even "Los Versos del Olvido - Im Labyrinth der Erinnerung".
All films will be shown on three evenings each. If a date doesn't suit you, there are two more opportunities to watch your favourite - or all eight films. And if the weather doesn't play along, you don't have to miss the great view, but not the movie. Because then the film evenings take place in the Great Hall. The entrance fee is 11 Euro, reduced 9 Euro, the triple ticket costs 27 Euro. Advance booking takes place at the Haus am Dom, Domplatz 3, daily from 9am-6pm, or online at www.hausamdom-frankfurt.de. Phone ticket reservations are not available.
