#cleanffm tram presented

#cleanffm tram presented

Get on board, join in and make a contribution to a clean Frankfurt - under this motto, the city's #cleanffm cleanliness campaign is entering a new phase: starting immediately, the #cleanffm tram is promoting a clean Frankfurt and an awareness of litter prevention. The tram, which has now been unveiled, really does catch your eye straight away: the Frankfurt skyline in the foreground, lots of humorous dialogue on a wide range of cleanliness topics and kept in the typical green of Frankfurt's #cleanffm cleanliness campaign - so this tram is a real eye-catcher that has what it takes to raise even more awareness of this campaign.

"With the new #cleanffm tram, we want to specifically promote more cleanliness in the city area and call on everyone to join in," said Frankfurt's head of environment Rosemarie Heilig on Monday, February 10, as part of the official presentation of the #cleanffm tram. And joining in is really necessary, because every year 11,500 tonnes of rubbish accumulates in public street space, only 1900 tonnes of which ends up in the rubbish bins. A nuisance for the street cleaners, but also for everyone who wants a clean Frankfurt and disposes of their rubbish properly.

"Carelessly discarded to-go packaging, cigarette butts and, say, pizza boxes do not belong in our parks, green spaces or on the streets. They belong in the trash cans," Heilig said. There are a total of 7000 trash cans in the city, of which an additional 1000 have been set up since the #cleanffm campaign began, Heilig continued.

"Our #cleanffm streetcar has been on the road in the city for a few weeks now and I'm already being approached about it. With it, our #cleanffm campaign is now even more present in the city. The tram travels through the streets of the city, is used on different lines of the VGF and is therefore also seen by many people in the city districts. The more they see, the more will share our idea of a clean city, I'm sure."
