Corona Restrictions: Regular bus and rail schedule resumes May 4

Night service remains suspended - Mobility Center ‚Verkehrsinsel' and TicketCenter Hauptwache reopen <.../strong>

(ffm) As already announced by head of transport Klaus Oesterling, buses and trams in Frankfurt am Main will return to their regular services from Monday, 4. May, again to the regular offer. On Saturdays, too, the usual timetable will apply again. For the time being, night services will remain suspended, as well as the two "recreational lines", which are line 83 to Lohrberg and the extension of line 45 along the Main to Kaiserlei.

Mobility center "Verkehrsinsel" and TicketCenter Hauptwache open again

The "Verkehrsinsel" at the Hauptwache is also open again from 4 May: As usual, the mobility consultants are again Monday to Friday from 10.30 to 18 clock for their customers in use. The municipal public transport company traffiQ points out that a maximum of two customers are allowed in the "traffic island" at any time.

Also from Monday, VGF's TickeCenter on the B-level of Hauptwache station will be open again

Here, however, operations will be adapted to the security requirements necessitated by Corona. In detail:

- a mouth-to-nose covering obligation applies in the TicketCenter

.- multilingual and clearly visible posters with appropriate instructions are attached

- entrance and exit is through one door each

- Direction in the TicketCenter by arrows and signs (entrance and exit)

- at all counters - so far open counters allowing direct customer contact - a plexiglass protection is installed

- Only four counters will be staffed so that employees can also keep a safe distance from each other

- Only four customers wearing masks will be allowed into the TicketCenter at a time

- Admission only when a counter is free, to avoid waiting in the TicketCenter

- Maximum of one customer per counter (exceptions include people who need assistance or mothers with small children)

- before the entrance, the VGF advises customers of the mask requirement and regulates entry if necessary

- customers without masks can purchase tickets at the ticket machine or at another TicketCenter (Konstablerwache, Bornheim Mitte)

- Customers without masks who have a different request (ten-minute guarantee, refund requests, subscription and the like) are also referred to other TicketCenters or to telephone contact points

-only in individual cases will masks be issued to customers who do not have one with them (for example, senior citizens for whom the walk to Konstablerwache is too arduous)

Ticket and ServiceCenter open

The ticket counters at the Konstablerwache and Bornheim Mitte sales outlets have been kept open by the VGF in recent weeks, as has the lost property office on the B-level of the Hauptwache. The ServiceCenter at the Bockenheimer Warte station has been open again since 27 April, and it is possible to make enquiries about the increased transport charge from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday. Here, too, the obligation to cover mouth and nose applies.

Transport Museum and Ebbel-Ex out of service

Other facilities or offers remain closed or are not yet available. These include the Ebbel-Ex, which will remain in its depot in Gutleut for the time being, and the Transport Museum in Schwanheim. The VGF also does not yet foresee any operations for the Info Bus.

RMV timetable information is currently

About the RMV app and at http://www.rmv-frankfurt.de on the Internet, passengers can find out about timetables and their connections. The staff at the RMV service telephone 069/24248024 are also available around the clock and will be happy to provide advice.

Cancellation of individual journeys is still possible, depending on the development of sickness levels at the transport companies, and renewed more severe restrictions on public transport cannot be ruled out. The city of Frankfurt, traffiQ and the transport companies ask their passengers for this understanding.

Mask obligation and hygiene rules absolutely continue to observe

All passengers are asked to observe the especially important hygiene rules in local transport in their own interest and that of their fellow men. This of course also applies to the obligation to wear a mouth-nose protection in the buses and trains.
